It's time to blog

I miss screaming into the void. So I'm starting my own personal site/place/blog where I'll talk about random things.

I'm tired of short-form posting. After Xitter imploded, I basically stopped shitposting, I mean writing Useful Short-Form Content. I have a Mastodon account but I rarely use it.

I miss screaming into the void. And more than just about silly things. I'm eyeing blogs where people build in public. I love how people talk about ADHD. About their life. About programming. About whatever they feel like, without feeling restricted in what should they write about to get the dopamine from every single favorite and boost on social media.

Last time I was blogging, I was a teenager (I'm 31 now). I don't even remember what kind of stuff was I posting, but I'm pretty sure it was cringe. It's lost. Or somewhere in archives. I don't honestly know and I don't even want to look for it.

So, I'm launching my own personal site/place/blog where I'll talk about random things.

What to expect here

Dev posting and other projects

I love screaming at computers. I have a love/hate relationship with JavaScript (love TypeScript, hate JavaScript). I passionately hate React and yet I use it. Go annoys me with its endless stupidity because we can't trust Google even in creating a programming language.

I'd love to share my journey in how I'm tackling some problems at work and in personal projects, and my learning journey (e.g. soon I'd love to learn NixOS, writing notes about it here could be useful for others). I'm a fan of building in public but I never really tried it.

ADHD posting

Yeah. I have ADHD. Probably. Still waiting for results, for almost half a year now. I found out about ADHD being a thing a few years ago, and I'm exploring my own weird brain for around 2 years. I keep bookmarking stuff about ADHD but never do anything about it. Why not talk about my experiences and findings here?

Digital garden posting

I need a second brain. I'm still not sure if it's Obsidian or Notion, I keep moving between the two for like a year and it's getting annoying. I love owning my data (so Obsidian is the correct choice), but I want something what doesn't require much maintenance and is easy to use, to also keep my private notes preferably in the same place.

I will (hopefully soon!) try to launch a digital garden with random tidbits. Something like Nicole van der Hoeven's Fork My Brain. I love this format, it's chaotic just like my brain, and that's why it feels so welcoming.

Furry posting

I feel like I'm a greymuzzle in the furry community, even when I didn't really have a fursona until around 2020 (and it was a single profile picture I used until now).

I want to explore this part of myself more, find new folks to vibe with, and enjoy life more.

Digital nomading

I'm (mostly) stuck in Prague since before COVID, I didn't really go anywhere since then. I miss longer trips, and my remote work allows me to work wherever and whenever I can/want, so this is something I want to start doing again and blog about it.

Other stuff

I dunno. Life updates. My goals. My dreams. Ranting about the video game industry. Whatever I feel like blogging about.

Let's do this

Whew. I'm really doing this. I want some responsibility, so feel free to poke me about posting something if there's nothing new here for a while.

I don't want to maintain an infrastructure for this, so I'm using Ghost. It means I can just write without having to rewrite the entire website stack every year because that's what devs do. I can have only a single newsletter option for now, but I may pay up later and split it into a few categories (life and dev?) so you can read only what you care about.

Come join the ride.
